SCRIPT CONSULTANCY

I've had 10 years experience working with playwrights, screenwriters, directors, schools and universities, helping writers and creatives at all levels to create feature and short-form work across stage, screen and radio. Through workshops and one-on-one consultancy, I've worked with big producers and production companies and institutions like the BBC, BFI, Met Film School, Central School of Speech and Drama and many others.

Whatever the project, I will read, evaluate, give notes and book in supervision sessions to guide you along the way in a supportive environment tailored directly to your needs and objectives in a timeframe that works for you, targeting particular and personal issues relating to structure, characterisation or anything else that may be holding your script back. I will also offer key career advice along the way and where to best place your play, radio drama or screenplay to advance your career in the industry.

As an award-winning, working scriptwriter myself, across screen, stage and radio, I know how difficult that process is and will do my best to support you through that, if you were interested in that advice.

By the end of this process you will have a completed a short or feature-length play or screenplay ready for wherever you want to take it.

CO-WRITING

I love to work with new directors, production companies or independent writers on new screenplays and plays in whichever way suits them. Happy to share creative input equally or work in a more advisory capacity to help realise the script's full potential and again, with 10 years reading, mentoring and teaching students to far more seasoned writers, with a wealth of film, TV and stage knowledge and references, I have successfully helped writers and directors create work with successful theatrical runs and medium to high-budget, cinematic releases.

And as writer myself interested in bold ideas and characters, and blending genre, I try to be as supportive and open-minded with any new concept and approach.

SCRIPTWRITER FOR HIRE

As a writer, with more information in my About section, I love character-driven plots that use elements of dark humour to explore worlds and ideas through each new protagonist. That said, I have been hired to work on Drama, Sci-Fi, surrealist comedy and many different genres to create stories across many mediums, optioned and commissioned by producers or production companies that have gone on to successful stage or screen productions; adapting personal ideas, their own ideas or through a mutual, collaborative process. I've also worked with directors with brilliant vision but find the screenwriting side of things tiresome and difficult, offering consultancy, co-writing or services as an independent writer.
